Colleen Wing is the daughter of Columbia University Professor Lee Wing and Azumi Ozawa.
Azumi is mysteriously murdered when Colleen is very young. When she gets older, she is sent to the mountains of Honshu, Japan to learn the arts of the samurai from her grandfather Kenji Ozawa. Colleen eventually returns to New York and stays with her father. She meets her soon-to-be best friend, Misty Knight, when Misty saves her during a gun battle.
After doing some research on Colleen, she doesn’t do much but follow Misty and Iron Fist on their adventures. So, I’m just going to summarize what she does with her friends. You can learn more about these adventures in their own 101s.
Colleen and Misty Knight start “Knightwing Restorations” and become a private investigators.
Colleen find out, through a monk, that Danny Rand is returning to New York. Soon after, Colleen along with her father befriend Danny, and Colleen acts as his ally on a lot of his adventures.

Master Khan and Angar the Screamer kidnap Colleen and brainwash her into fighting Iron Fist. Iron Fist eventually breaks their control over her, and in the end, Colleen defeats Angar in a duel by severely injuring him.

Misty and Colleen start being known as The Daughters, and they team up with the Heroes for Hire on NUMEROUS occasions.
The Daughters investigate Celia Ricadonna. She is a wealthy New York publishing magnate and crime lord who has been suspected in the involvement of the deaths of many of her clients. Ricadonna uses Whirlwind, Freezer Burn, Humbug, and 8-Ball to steal a microchip that could take down the global economy. Ricadonna attempts the kill the hired criminals but fails.
I covered the rest of their confrontation with her in my Misty Knight 101, so if you want to learn more about that then head on over to that page.
Colleen and Misty would be contacted by Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, and Spiderman to reform the Heroes for Hire, and track down heroes that refused to sign the Superhuman Registration act. Colleen agrees under the terms that the group only hunts criminals that did not register, along with getting Stark-level technology and getting to pick the team members.
The line up would be Shang-Chi, Humbug, Orka, Black Cat, Paladin, and Tarantula (you can learn more about the group in the Misty Knight 101).
