Who is Misty Knight? Want to know how she got a robotic arm?
Graduating from New York City’s police academy with top honors, Misty Knight became a patrolwoman. Early in her career, she rescued Colleen Wing from a Manhattan gun battle, and the two soon became best friends.

Sometime later, Misty came across a bomb left at a bank by terrorists. She attempted to get rid of it, it went off and she lost her arm. It was replaced with a cybernetic limb designed at Stark International.
Misty’s injury removed her from patrol duty, and she was re-assigned to a desk job.
Colleen convinced her to take a new role in life, and the two eventually became partners in a private investigation firm – Nightwing Restorations. Pretty much a female version of Heroes for Hire.
Fun fact! Misty met Iron Fist through Colleen! And soon they fell in love

She eventually grew away from Iron Fist and began dating a police officer, Tyrone King. It was unknown to her at the time, but Tyrone King was actually Iron Fist’s mystical enemy, Master Khan, in disguise.

Khan arranged for the Super-Skrull to murder the surrogate Iron Fist; Misty soon broke up with “King.”
Later, the Super-Skrull Iron Fist was exposed, as was Khan’s scheme. Misty and Colleen (along with Namor) traveled to Iron Fist’s home city in the dimension of K’un Lun where they rescued him from imprisonment. Misty and Iron Fist renewed their relationship, and she aided him during his efforts to rebuild Heroes for Hire, but afterward drifted apart…again.
Another fun fact! Wing offered Luke Cage a job at their firm, he declined.
After a while, Nightwing Restorations started to slow down. Knight left for the law firm of Nelson, Murdock & Sharpe.
Misty would help time to time. For example, she helped Spider-Man, Cage, and Iron Fist defeat Scorpion.
Misty and Colleen followed a depressed Iron Fist to the Himalayas where he defeated a resurrected Steel Serpent and regained direction in his life.

Misty and Colleen were hired to help a team apprehend biotechnician/geneticist Professor Wolfgang Hessler, who was operating out of St. Eboar’s Monastery in Symkaria. The girls and their allies soon battled Silver Sable’s Wild Pack.

During the whole ordeal, Iron Fist would lose his life. However, the Misty and Colleen would resurrect him.
When Cage was critically injured during Nick Fury’s Secret War, Knight and Wing provided protection alongside Iron Fist while Cage recuperated at the Night Medical Center, a treatment facility for street level superheroes.
Knight and Wing later become bail bonds-women, lending bail money to apprehended street level super-villains until their cases work their way through the criminal justice system. If the super-villains miss their scheduled court dates, Knight and Wing hunt them down.
In a sword fight between Knight and Ricadonna, Misty lost her bionic arm. Tony Stark outfitted her with a state-of-the-art arm.
Knight went on to form a new version of the Heroes for Hire, along with Colleen, for the purpose of apprehending those who refused to comply with the Superhuman Registration Act. They were backed by Stark and their roster included old faces as well as some new ones like the Black Cat, Shang-Chi, Orka and the new Tarantula.

Together, the group found themselves face-to-face with those they considered allies like Captain America. Ultimately, the Heroes for Hire suffered more than they triumphed due to betrayals and deaths, and the team disbanded.
Misty would eventually make up with Iron Fist. But when Iron Fist returned from The Eighth City, Misty revealed to him she was pregnant with his baby (This was was during Shadowland).
Misty would look into several Hand-related murders with Silver Sable, Paladin, and Shroud.
They find out that Misty’s old partner, Rafael Scarfe was framing the Hand for the murders by posing as them. Misty was hospitalized for injuries she received and was told she had a false pregnancy, causing her to end her relationship with Iron Fist.
She established herself as “Control” and started Heroes for Hire once again. She was kidnapped by Puppet Master and placed in an artificially induced coma while he used her bionic arm, to recruit and enslave several heroes. Misty’s will proved to be too strong, and she resisted the drugs keeping her sedated. Her awakening almost got her killed by Punisher (who was mind controlled). She severed Puppet Master’s hold on every hero he managed to manipulate but was unable to find out anything else because Punisher killed Puppet Master.
Misty was ready to shut down Heroes for Hire, but Paladin convinced her to keep going on her terms.
