With the popularity of Netflix original TV shows, I think it’s time for Star Wars to get in on it! I have seen some pretty good ideas (I believe there is a petition going around for a Knights of the Old Republics Netflix series) and I love them.
This is going to be my top 5 idea list for a Star Wars Netflix series.
A quick disclaimer: I don’t know how I was going to execute this list, so I’m just gonna wing it and I will correct anything if I need too.
#5 Republic Commandos (Delta Squad) (Photo credit: pl13.com.pl)
One of my favorite clone squads to date. Delta Squad, in my opinion, deserves a Netflix adaptation; they are very interesting and have great chemistry that would go GREAT in live action! Each member has a great personality and is very loveable (my favorite is Scorch (second right in the photo)! Throughout the series, we see their team evolve, forming a bond and learning to work together and get along, despite their differences and ideas, and cooperate. (Photo credit: Pinterest)
Also, we can possibly get a conclusion with what happened to Sev (left) at the end of the “Republic Commando.” That still bothers me to this very day!
This would be a great Clone Wars era equivalent to “Rogue One,” instead of Jedis, we have Clone Commandos getting their hands dirty by blowing up bases and factories, laying waste to droids, Geonosis, and Trandoshans. Again, this series would be a great equal to “Rogue One”!
Now two things might not let this happen.
Reason numero uno: Disney wanting to steer away from the Clone Wars era and just stick with events leading to the original trilogy or events afterward.
Reason number two: The budget. Don’t get me wrong, a Netflix series revolving around Delta Squad would be as lit as *curse word*, but it would be expensive. Mainly due to the props, special effects, and set pieces. But hey! This is Star Wars! anything is possible and can be done!
I don’t think we will be getting a “Republic Commando 2” anytime soon, so a Netflix series might be the next best thing to tie up loose ends.
#4 Shadows of the Empire(Photo credit: www.fanpop.com)
To be clear, “Star Wars Shadows of the Empire” is both a game AND a book. I think a “Star Wars Shadows of the Empire” Netflix series would be a killer mini-series for an iconic Star Wars game and story.
But there is a problem. The story involves Dash Rendar helping Luke with his efforts to rescue Princess Leia from Xizor. How is that a problem? Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are not the age they should be (They’re old. There I said it). If a “Star Wars Shadows of the Empire” Netflix series was to happen, they would have to do some minor tweaks, such as scrapping Luke and Leia and using someone else. No idea who they can use. Maybe some random member of the rebellion who has valuable information. They can/should still use Xizor. I really want to see him in live action (next to Grand Admiral Thrawn).

Besides those few minor things, this would be a rocking Netflix series. Dash is a really well known Star Wars EU character and deserves the live action treatment. Also, all the places we would visit in this series would be visually stunning!
(Am I making sense? I feel like I’m not.)
#3 Dark Forces (Photo credit: Youtube)
Like “Star Wars Shadows of the Empire” a “Star Wars Dark Forces” Netflix series would be awesome!
Like Dash Rendar, Kyle Katarn is another well known Star Wars EU character and he too deserves the live action treatment.
I see a “Star Wars Dark Forces” series covering Kyle’s journey to becoming a Jedi. The series would cover both “Star Wars Dark Forces” and “Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II”.

The first season can revolve around Kyle taking down the Dark trooper program! (Photo credit: Wookieepedia)
I think General Moch (person behind the Dark Trooper program) would make a great live action Star Wars villain!
Then in the second season we can have him taking on the Inquisitor Marec!(Photo credit: Youtube)
I can picture the lightsaber fights between these two characters right now and they would be legendary! (I was going to insert a Barney Stinson legendary meme but I couldn’t find one sadly.)
#2 Knights of the Old Republic (Photo credit: www.youtube.com)
Like all the others Star Wars fans, I am yearning for something involving Knights of the Old Republic and I believe a Netflix series would be an excellent route!
Knights of the Old Republic is a role playing game that has a lot of amazing characters and stories; so the possibilities for a Netflix series are endless!
But there is a little problem, it’s role playing game! That meaning there is not a specific character in the story, you create your character in the game and play as that character.(Photo credit: ScrewAttack)
Can a KOTOR series still be done? I still say yes! Because as always, I have an idea! First off, the series should revolve around the story for the first KOTOR.(Photo credit: www.youtube.com)
The series would revolve around a new, made up Star Wars character for the show and Bastila Shan and them stopping Darth Malak. We can be introduced to other characters that were in the game like Mission Vao and Zaalbar!

Seeing this duo in live action would be awesome!
Another thing they can do for the series is that they show it from both perspectives! Meaning, have the story revolve around the Jedi and the Sith. It would be kinda like what “Daredevil” did with Daredevil and Wilson Fisk where we had a story arc covering both characters.
I think this aspect would add more to the series and please the people who want a sith centered KOTOR Netflix series.
#1 Star Wars the Clone Wars(Photo credit: Fan Of The Wars)
This is on here and at number one for one reason. I was not pleased with the ending to season seven! There are so many questions still unanswered in my opinion and so many cool things were going to happen (but Disney had to ruin everything)! I mean we were going to get an arc where Rex and Anakin save Arc Trooper Fives with a group of clone commandos!

There are a lot of good story arcs that will never happen now that Disney got it cancelled (They were going to go to Utapau! UTAPAU!) and they can do arcs that tie into “Star Wars Rebels” and they can use younger versions of some of the characters (like Kanan or Chopper).
I think reviving it on Netflix for a season or so will possibly satisfy the needs for a proper end (I sure want one) and will tie up loose ends that were left untied.
